MySpace gone for good…or can it still comeback?

Remember the last time you posted something on your MySpace profile page to update your friends? Yea, I don’t either. MySpace was at a time the most visited social network site and was used majorly by user to interact with one another.

Today MySpace is the place for artist to interact with fans. Posting new updates on concerts, new songs, and latest hits.  But, fan interaction is not what it use to be.  Today people don’t seem to be visiting the site like they use to.

MySpace main page looks more like news feed artist newspaper than an interactive social network. So, is this new change enough for it to have a comeback?

I believe in order for MySpace to comeback they will need to go back to its roots. A space to connect with friends, yes, Facebook does that already. But, Facebook doesn’t allow you to customize your page to your unique liking. Will this be enough for you to use MySpace over Facebook, probably not?

MySpace needs to find its niche once again over other interactive sites and provide users that unique experience. They can provide this by connecting users to what they like, just like the advertisement they show you. Say, you like that new User cologne, well they can show you different options within its site about the artist and relative, articles and sites.

So is MySpace gone for good…maybe?  Only time will tell whither they decide to change with the time or stay behind.

Can Social Media Marketing help fulfill a need?

With Facebook, Twitter and millions of users at all times connected to this networks it is easier to expose your products and help consumers recognize a need for it.

So how are we utilizing our recourses to help us?   Companies like AXE-targeted towards guys-are posting updates about their brands to their users. Creating awareness that AXE is more than just a product but something you need in order to participate in the AXE movement.

Those companies know that they need to be where their market is, and social media is something that is staying not fading out.  For example, I use the Internet to research everything before I purchase something. I go to different websites and read other people experiences and though on a certain product before committing to it.  After finding out more about a product I will realize, well if so many people use it to then I must be missing out on something. Next trip to the store, its in my shopping cart and am using it.

Marketing through social media is new age marketing. Will it impact how we advertise and receive messages? It already has.
